Your eyes stop on the tv screen
and in a moment you become
entranced,
absorbed.
The world fades away.
Some people watch tv,
but you live it with the characters,
moving through the storylines and mysteries.
In one, you’re a detective,
determined to find the answer before the characters do.
In another, you’re the wolf —
loyalty to your pack comes first.
You experience stories in a way I’ve never witnessed before,
which is why I take such joy,
such simple pleasure,
in sitting by your side
and watching as,
with a blink,
you are transported.
