The Theme of The Week Is Being OverWhelmed

Everything’s fine..

Hey — hi — Hello!

In case you missed it, read the latest newsletter here!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful first three weeks of the new year. I have to admit, things have gotten a little crazy for me.

BUT

Before we get to that —

If you have stumbled across my page and decided to subscribe — Hello, and welcome to Earth To Bambzi. I write unapologetically here. And encourage you to do the same.

Let’s check in: How was your week? Are you caught up on your weekly tasks? Drinking enough water? Minding your business?

Of course you’re not — or else you wouldn’t be here.

But most importantly… Are you caught up on content?

This caption is funny for this week because this has been the most chaotic week I’ve had in a while. And I am far from caught up in my own reality. However, despite the week — I managed to release an article about next month.

And I am definitely looking forward to this month. I’m going to take the same approach, stepping away from the traditional stories told during the month.

You can catch a glimpse of the article here.

Also, no, unfortunately there are no new short stories publish this week. Not saying they aren’t a work in progress, however.

Let’s move on to why the theme of the week is being overwhelmed.

You know that dog meme that went around religiously on IG and Twitter? Where he’s sitting at a desk and the house is on fire and he says, “It’s fine,” as he sips from a mug.

That’s me.

I had a panic attack after I slid my car down two hills of ice to get to work. I then get sent home an hour later.

Because I find out I’ve been exposed to Covid! Yaaay!

I should write a story time on that, it’s actually pretty funny now that I’m okay.

And I am okay, from that and Covid. I’ve had no symptoms( Thank God,) .

So here I am currently on what was supposed to be my day off but I’m using it as time to finish a work from home project.

All the while trying to finish personal projects as well as finish content for you guys.

sigh.

It’s been a rough week. And I say this because I’m used to being busy when I go to work, no problem. And I pace myself working on my projects at home. But this is the first time in my life I had been so busy at home!

Anyway, the fire is simmering down and I’m at a place where I don’t feel like I want to pull my hair out.

The simplest thing is to stop what I’m doing. Pushing through a task is not always the best solution. And since I was working from home I had the advantage of when I took my breaks. I called friends, I wrote silly poems.

Lately, I’ve been learning Pinterest recipes, I’ve returned to an old passion of mine — which is makeup and hair — and I’ll take a break to watch a movie or series or read a book.

Speaking of reading and streaming shows and movies, I want to share with you what has been on my playlist this week!

I only have one for you this week and it’s Archive 81!

I discovered this on the Top 10 for Netflix. I then told a friend of mine about it, because we have similar interests and he finished the entire show before me !

It is a slow start, but I enjoy a slow start depending on the show. This was something I heard nothing about but you initially learn that the MC works in the archives in a Museum. Which my bias lay, honestly because I used to work in that field.

I’m enjoying the main character, I’m enjoying the period they chose and the suspense. I also learned that James Wan is a producer on the show so that’s another bias to my opinion. BUT! I recommend despite my bias.

I’m getting back into the habit of doing chapter trials for books (because I’m a mood reader) and these are my two books for the month!

To sum everything up, this week gave my peace of mind a run for its money. But I prevailed!

If you have made it this far thank you for tuning into my newsletter — or sticking around if you’re a regular!

I hope you have a great morning, afternoon or night whenever you read this, and I’ll see you in my next post!
