Running Machine Learning Codes on PyCharm

This might feel obvious to some, however, I had trouble running my machine learning codes when I switched from solely using Spyder to using Intellij IDE.

I was introduced to ML using Anaconda , Spyder. Therefore, naturally, begun coding in Spyder and I enjoyed it a lot. However, when I was introduced to Intellij/PyCharm I quickly was mesmerized by its capabilities and how easy it was to connect to Github, version your work, autocomplete functionalities etc.

The switch was inevitable however, not easy at least for me as I had to leverage large datasets I was working on, whilst using Anaconda. Here is a step by step guide on how it worked for me (I’m sure there is a better and more efficient way of doing this):

Working with PyCharm has been great, I don’t miss Spyder at all and I would recommend who ever is thinking to make the switch and are on the fence to definitely start using PyCharm.

Please feel free to share your thoughts as this is my first article on Medium and would appreciate the input.
