Naked on a beach!

It never occurred to me how life would be on a beach, until we reached Goa-the place of beaches — naked (stop thinking something sick) and beautiful, still untarnished though human activities is trying it best to make it filthy. Anjuna beach was my first visit to a beach with two of my other buddies.

It seemed, as if, time had frozen. The beach was in a secluded place away from the humdrum of the city life. Anyway, for us it was a paradise, specifically for me. The cool breeze blowing against my face coupled with the warm cold water of the waves from the ocean splashing against my naked legs, in a way, giving me a massage to the tired feet . Pedicure would be a better word to coin here.

I took several dips and swim a few strokes, rejuvenating my body and the soul too (Hindus believe that if you don’t have a soul you can’t go to heaven. The best part is that I just purchased one by greasing the palms of the messengers of god-the priests.)

It was an entirely different experience. It was just spectabulous. (I know I just made that up!) I was sleeping on a large rock where huge waves would strike against it and splashes of water would cool my body, and, at the same time, the warm sun rays try to give me a soothing sensation. A topless lady was enjoying the waves and the warm rays. Nature was at its best-even small crabs were enjoying the sun and the ocean. They would play or fight beside me until a large wave wash them away in the majestic ocean. And they would again come back as if with a vengeance. Lovely creatures, majestic ocean, fresh air, warm (holy!) water and sunny rays.

Next day, I was at another similar but different beach-Candolim, a sandy beach unlike the rocky Anjuna beach. This too was another paradise. Sometimes I would just like to be on the beach. Naked. Just lie on a beach. Naked. With no materialistic bonding. Just being with nature like a new born baby. No one cares whether you are covered or naked because most of them are also nude. A clothing optional or nude beach would be a ideal holiday for me. But the moment you say naked beach are you supporting the perverts? I would say no. Nudity is just a state of mind and can be interpreted differently, especially when you ask a religious person.

I was not planning to digress from the story. I apologize. Candolim was a soothing beach for me. Intermittently we would take a few dips and then went back to enjoy the sun. I walked along the beach and experienced all the elements of earth. I could feel the sandy beach. And, as the wave passed between my legs and then recede, I felt coolness while at the same time warm sun rays bathed my body and I could feel warm breeze with a tang of freshness and balming effect on my tired and rejuvenating body. I was sleeping on the sandy beach, as if it were my couch. My mind was never so free and my body never so vivacious. I just want to lie on my natural couch. Forever.

This was my ideal vacation with no restrictions or boundaries. Laziness was at its zenith and the calmness at another pinnacle. Waves receding back and forth.

I wonder why there are no nude beaches or clothing optional beaches in India and I need to know-there is a long way to go for India to reach at that point of maturity. (Oh! I should have said insanity instead of maturity. My bad :( I would certainly like to lie lazily and nude on a beach. Either in Black Beach in San Diego or another one in Cap D’agde. No one cares whether you are naked until and unless you are flashing your erection or try to be the odd one out.

In a nutshell, lovely creatures, majestic ocean, fresh air, soothing warm water and the warm sun rays. A truly heavenly experience on sandy beaches.

I am waiting for my wish to come true. And I will certainly visit these beaches again.
