Nothing is stopping you… except you.

No matter what career you want, no matter what hobby you want, there’s only one thing you need to do.

Begin.

If you want to be a writer- write.

If you want to be an artist- draw.

If you want to be an actor- act.

If you want to be a musician- play.

Don’t worry about learning the “fundamentals”. The fundamentals of anything are going to be different depending on who you ask.

Don’t worry about having the right equipment, the right part, the right paint palette, the right paintbrush, the proper writing program. That stuff doesn’t matter, and you’ll spend half your life wanting better equipment anyway.

Just start.

Start enjoying the thing. Start learning to enjoy drawing, writing, acting, whatever your thing is. Practice it. Don’t worry about fancy techniques. Begin easy, then get harder. Practice every day, for as long as you can if that’s five minutes good if that’s five hours, even better.

You’ll never be successful if you don’t enjoy doing the thing. You’ll never be a successful artist if you don’t like creating art (whatever your medium is). You’ll never be a successful writer if you never actually write.

Just begin. Begin right now. Stop reading about it. Stop watching YouTube tutorials about it.
